Shook Ankles: Chris Paul Shakes Jamaal Tinsley

Last night’s preseason game between the Clippers and Jazz was not only played at a regular season level of intensity, but it also featured more than a few moves that deserve to take place in games that actually matter. Even on a night when Jeremy Evans Felix Baumgartner’d Ronnie Turiaf, this ridiculous hesitation spin by Chris Paul was my personal favorite. If you can, I suggest re-watching the game purely to take note of the seeds of beef that were planted between Paul Millsap and Blake Griffin. Pretty sure those two aren’t friends on Facebook.

Shook Ankles: Why Jamaal Tinsley Is Still Awesome

Keeping this short and sweet, I started this blog 14 months ago. If you asked me on Day 1 to place an over/under on the number of appearances Jamaal Tinsley would make on these pages from that moment moving forward I would’ve said 0, with a slight chance that the very mention of his name could somehow hit a never-before-seen negative realm of obscurity. After a quick deliberation, I would’ve taken the under. Fast forward to today and what we have is our second (!) post devoted entirely to Tinsley’s incredible handle. I love the NBA. Please enjoy.

Shook Ankles: Welcome Back, Jamaal!

During the second half of last night’s Jazz v. Clippers game, Utah served as a wrecking ball to Los Angeles’ dilapidated warehouse. Granted there was no Chris Paul to prove his MVP worth, but still, the Jazz absolutely demolished the supposedly superior team with position by position dominance that can’t be argued. With the game out of hand and his team up by 30 points, Tyrone Corbin decided to let Jamaal Tinsley loose. The 57-year-old former Rucker Park/Iowa State baller and all around great guy scored his first two points of the season on the type of move that both made him millions of dollars and forced him out of the league. It was a definite pleasure in an otherwise colorless blowout.
